Nowadays there has been circulation of a press release by the name of CBSE is going viral on social media for the board exams. A letter by the name of CBSE has gone viral which claims that the examinations that were put on hold due to Coronavirus, will be started from April 22.
But the reality is that CBSE has not issued any such letter. The viral claim is fake. Board said that no decision has been taken regarding the date of examinations.
Four other claims have also been made in the viral letter that, postponed examinations will be conducted again in North East Delhi Province, India and abroad. The examination centers which were allotted earlier will remain the same. New admit cards will not be issued and the evaluation work will start from 25 April.

- Investigation revealed that the viral letter was fake. CBSE has not issued any such letter.
- The viral letter does not have the signature of Anurag Tripathi (secretary). The letter does not even have the official stamp of CBSE, it also shows that it is fake.
- The Government of India Letter Information Office (PIB) has also termed it as fake. PIB wrote in the tweet that, the date of the examinations has not been set yet.
- According to the statement released by CBSE on 1 April, as of now, no decision has been taken regarding the class 10th and 12th examinations because of the prevailing uncertainties.
