CBSE Boards 2021: The 10th-12th grade improvement exam - Success Roar Classes

During a Supreme Court hearing on Thursday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that the improvement tests for classes 10th and 12th will be held from August 25 to September 15. The date for announcing the examination results, on the other hand, will be revealed on September 30. At the same time, CISCE will hold an examination beginning August 16 and will reveal the results by September 20. (CBSE Boards 2021: The 10th-12th grade improvement exam)

Simultaneously, a court led by Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice Sanjiv Khanna certified the schedules presented in their separate affidavits by CBSE and CISCE.

The bench had raised serious concerns about the affidavit

The absence of any definite dates in the affidavit provided by CBSE has previously been objected to by the bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Sanjiv Khanna. Following that, the bench directed CBSE’s counsel to deliver the exam schedule, including dates, by 2 p.m. The board then presented the schedule, which included a date of 2 p.m., and was authorised by the bench.

The board was given instructions by the court

During this time, the court requested that the board tell the students of how many of their marks were cut in the results released based on internal assessment. In fact, in the internal assessment, the grades were determined using the average of the students’ grades over the previous three years. In this regard, the petitioner’s lawyer RP Gupta had said that due to this criterion, the marks of many students have come down.

Students in this situation seek to know how many marks have been deducted because of the school’s alumni. Gupta’s arguments were approved by the court, and CBSE was ordered to furnish this information to the schools.

The request for a refund of the exam cost was denied.

Aside from that, lawyer RP Gupta said that the students had been charged Rs 1500 in test costs. Even after all of the expenses, CBSE still has roughly 200 crore rupees. In such a case, if the fees are not refunded, the money should be used to help impoverished students get an education. The bench, on the other hand, declined to accept his argument.
