CBSE announced new dates of 10th-12th board examinations due to the lock down. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank gave this information by tweeting on Friday. He told that these examinations will be from July 1 to July 15. CBSE had withheld examinations of 83 subjects. The board has now made it clear that out of these 83 subjects, only 29 subjects will have examinations. These will be the subjects which are necessary to move to the next class.
CBSE gets 15 days (New Dates announced for 10th-12th Board Examinations)
On 29 April, the CBSE board had said that if the government gives 10 to 12 days, then the board will get the remaining main subjects examinations of 12th. The CBSE secretary had also sought permission for evaluation of answer sheets from the government in keeping with social distancing. The situation has also been clarified by CBSE as they announced dates for 10th & 12th board Examinations and about the CBSE 10th board examinations three days ago. Except for the students of North-East Delhi, no examination will be conducted for students of the 10th standard in the country. The exams were postponed due to the violence in North East Delhi during the CAA and NRC protests. The education minister had said that the 10th board examinations have been completed in all states. Exams for the remaining 6 essential subjects of the 10th will be conducted in North-East Delhi soon.
