In the Lockdown period, there is a huge loss of education to children due to the closure of schools. To reduce this loss, NCERT has prepared an alternate academic calendar. HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank released it. This calendar is for 1st to 12th grade. NCERT has currently prepared this calendar with a study plan for the next four weeks. In this calendar, it has been told that in which week, how to teach children, which topic of which subject. It has also been told that what activities you can do with children at home in lockdown, how can reduce mental stress.
Activity will start from Friday
With the help of this, children will be able to continue studying at home with the guidance of parents and teachers. NCERT has also added links to Chapter Wise the e-content on the e-school, NROER and Deeksha portal in the calendar. This calendar is for all schools in the country. Its activities will start on Friday – 17th April. Teachers can guide those students who do not have internet through SMS or phone call.
All schools in the country will follow
You can also use WhatsApp and social media platforms for study. The content for the students will be created by the teacher of their school. If there is a problem, then the student-parent can understand by talking to the teacher on the phone. Assignment-projects will be given according to the alternative calendar. Students complete it as homework. Whenever schools open, teachers can assess and give marks to students.
Apart from this, the syllabus of Art Education and Health and Physical Education has also been given. It is also explained in detail about what should be done to keep the children fit and healthy.
